The Mayor, Board of Control, and City Council appreciate your help in keeping our beautiful City clean.
Included in the City’s Werlor Waste Control Contract, this one day of free disposal is for those who live in the City of Defiance, Ohio.

Tips for Disposal:
- Be environmentally friendly: the landfill cannot take tires, appliances, hazardous materials, yard waste, batteries, burn barrels, or liquids of any kind.
- Parks will be staffed by City employees to direct traffic and confirm you are a City resident prior to disposal.
- Place everything inside (not beside) the Werlor containers.
- Do not dispose items prior to or after the allotted timeframe.
- Allow Werlor drivers time and space to remove a full container and replace it.
- The landfill closes at noon, so disposal will end at 11:30 a.m.
